Grade Level/Discipline:7th & 8th Reading Few Facts about myself:
Fact 1: I am a musician and love listening to many styles of music.
Fact 2: I drink hot chocolate over coffee, but those McDonald's frappes are addicting.
Fact 3: I love reading a book and then watching the movie. Watch out, Hunger Games, I am ready!
Fact 4: I have a Labradoodle.
What I'd like to learn or get out of this course: I am excited to learn about how I can expand my current teaching style with further technology in hopes to reach my students where they are. I want to learn how to provide my students with real life learning experiences that will help them later in their life and I think technology is the vehicle to make that happen.
My favorite game(s):
Ok, I can get addicted to those "business building" app games. I actually had to delete a fast food one because I just had to get more customers!
As for good old video games, I like Mortal Kombat, which is completely out of character for me, but its feels great to defeat my opponent. Do they even still have that game available? The boxing on the Wii is a close second!
I also just learned Dutch Blitz card game and find it fascinating!
